I would start with some informational posters about some of the topics you'll be studying this year. This will get them excited about what is to come. I also put up posters about the various classroom procedures to follow: morning routines, bathroom sign-out, class rules, etc. Finally, I put up some areas that they will be adding work to within the first few weeks of school. Places for pictures, artwork, writing samples, etc. Hope that helps.
