word walls
By sandy

Clip to ScrapBook
Word walls can be whatever you need them to be. For instance, in one area of my room I have a parts of speech word wall, divided into sections. Those I purchased in a kit, but we do add our own. In another area, we list weak words from student writing, and powerful words we come across as well. These we list on bulletin boards (laminated bb paper with a border) using perm. markers. I have one other word wall that lists terms students need to know from our state proficiency testing, along with their meanings. We refer to these a lot. These I made on the computer and laminated.
Hope this helps!
