name tags on desks
By missy

Clip to ScrapBook
Clear Contact paper works best on desks to keep your nametags safe. It CAN hold up all year--I tell the kids every year that I am holding a contest. The student with the nicest nametag at the end of the year will win a
prize! I buy a small gift at the beginning of the year (something fun from the $1 store) and wrap it up. I place it somewhere in the room where students can see it all year and tell them that is what they will get if they win the contest. Usually there are at least 5 students' desks that are pretty much perfect and probably 20 out of 25 that still have their tags on the last day. I have
the students vote by secret ballot for the winner. Everyone that still has a nametag at the end of the year also wins either a small piece of candy or something from the prize box. I've done this for the last several years and it works great! The students can pull off the nametag the last day and either throw away or take home.
