Janie this situation is different but it might help you feel better. I came form a school last year where the principal made a point to come between me and the parents in my class. She consistantly took over situations
which I felt where mine to handle. She also had a crew of people who would listen to conversations that I had with other teachers and report them back to her. She would then sit me down and humiliate me in her office vy aasking me questions that were offensive and often not called for. I would feel about two inches high and walk away in tears. I felt as though most of the problems were
created by her own insecure feelings. I decided mid year that I would not go back. I guess she got really p/o about that and ignored me the rest of the year. She decided to humiliate me the last week of school and tell me " she was there for me when I needed her". I have moved on since then and have a new job this year. I feel very confident that this move will be a good one. I am in a building with so many nice teachers and a very warm and concerned principal. I hope you won't take last year to heart and move on with high hopes. Just as in any profession there are the "c" students and the "A" students if you catch my drift. Good luck this year I know you can do it.
