Ed.S.
By Rebecca

Clip to ScrapBook
That is an Education Specialist Degree. I'm not sure how many more hours it involves. I know there are different areas to get your Ed.S. in (curriculum and instruction, administration, library specialist, special ed. to
name some). I'm not sure what other areas. My principal has his, our librarian was a classroom teacher before she went back to get hers in library. I just can't seem to get back in that mode yet. Maybe one day. We get another pay increase when we get our Ed.S. but also if you go back and get so many hours(which is basically the same amount of hours with classes that you choose but
you wouldn't get that degree)you also get a pay increase the same as the Ed.S. It also helps your retirement. I wonder if it differs from state to state. Good luck in whatever you do! Have a great year!
