Class Rules
By Sherrie

Clip to ScrapBook
This year I let the students "make" the rules. We discussed that our class was a team because teams work together. This lead into the discussion of playing on a team and needing specific equipment. We discussed what you
would need on a football team or baseball team and then compared that to school. We wrote about 20 rules that you would use on a team. We also added some we would need for our team. After seeing all the rules needed the kids were astonished. I told them that we could have only 5 rules and still have a "winning team". As I wrote "my" rules on the board I drew a line through their rules
thus condensing them. They liked the idea of only 5 but it also showed them that 1 rule covers many things.
1. Follow directions the 1st time they are given.
2. Raise your hand before speaking.
3. Give teacher 5.
4. Work quietly.
5. Use self control-keep ALL objects to yourself.

I hope this helps. Good luck!!
