science/social studies
By Cheryl

Clip to ScrapBook
I teach fourth grade in Washington State and social studies focus is on our state. I start with geography, then go on to history, and tie into science by studying the bio-regions, animals, plants, etc. For Science I start with lab skills and science process skills, using activities from a book called Rising to the Challenge of the National Science Standards. We also study Birds of Prey, Electric Circuits, Aquatic Habitats, and Fingerprinting and Crime Lab Chemistry.
