First day read aloud

I plan on reading "Nothing's Fair In Fifth Grade" by DeClement. It fits right in with being friends and having friends. Also I am going to read "There's A Boy In The Girls Bathroom" by Louis Sacher. It is also about a bad boy who in the end becomes a friend and a good boy. I love all of Louis Sachers books, especially Holes. THis I am either going to do as a read aloud or in a whole class literature circle. Not sure yet!
I have a lot of books that I can't wait to introduce to my new students in September. I know they are just going to love them!
