see your vent and raise you...
By Julianne

Clip to ScrapBook
Last spring our grade level wrote a formal request to consider moving all our grade level into the same hallway so we could do more cross class grouping. As a consequence of that letter and other factors the ENTIRE SCHOOL
was moved around to put grade levels together. So here's my vent -

The room we are assigned to move into is the only one where the previous teacher has not moved out. She has more stuff packed in there than a troll's got gold and she made no move to start boxing it up. Yesterday she told our principal that her mother is critically ill. Everyone and their uncle (including my partner

and I) has offered her help with the room situation and she has turned everyone down. So our own meager pile of stuff sits on the floor in one corner of her room awaiting some miracle. Professional meetings start on Monday. To make matters worse, EVERYONE knows that I wrote the letter that supposedly got this whole moving rooms thing started. And even though I know the principal was going to do it anyway, EVERYONE wants a scapegoat, and guess who they elected?

Sigh!

I'm happy to hear that your wasp situation got solved, though. Maybe we should just go out for coffee and call for a sub for the first few days of class...delay the inevitable???
