furthering your education

One of the teachers in our building has her administrative certificate, but prefers to remain in the classroom. Makes things nice for our principal as she can depend on this teacher to pinch hit for her when she is called away from school. I know others who have gone this route in their pursuit of a doctorate. Some of us just want the extra money and knowledge rather than a change of jobs. But it's also nice to have that admin. certificate in case you really want to move up the ladder, and for teachers there aren't that many other places to go to make better money.
