You posted this six days ago- so maybe you have made your decision already. I worked as a teacher for 8 years and then moved to California. I worked as a sub and found it draining. Advise from a friend was to work as an aide. I did for 6 years. Yes,, the pay is poor and low but you really get to know the district, the teachers and you have a foot in the door. I have been a full time teacher now for the past 8 years and I'm grateful for the time I was an aide. It has definitely made me a better teacher. If money is not a large issue- I say take the job!!
