That's a tough call, especially when administrators are caught between a really great candidate that they have never seen teach and someone they are familiar with. They often fall back on the old adage--"what is known is
better than what is unknown," for fear of hiring someone who may not turn out to be what they expect. Is it possible that you could offer to teach a lesson to a small group of students before a final decision is made? If it is too late for that before school starts this year, consider making a short video of your teaching to leave with the hiring team. At least that way, they can see you
teach before a decision is made. For this
particular interview, these options may not be available to you, so I would consider stressing the success you have had in your private school adn, perhaps, some testimonials from parents. Other than that, you just need to be yourself, keep doing what you are doing, and hope for the best. Good luck.
