Teaching the Levels
By JoDee

Clip to ScrapBook
Maureen,
I have just spent the last two days teaching the levels using the idea in the book of drawing and writing a sentence under each picture. I was pleasantly surprised by how well my fourth graders handled this assignment.
The first day we talked about Anarchy and Bullying and completed those pictures and sentences one at a time. Then we discussed what they came up with. Today we did the other two levels on the back. Tomorrow we are going to create classroom examples in small groups. I hope this goes as well as the past two days have been.

It has been interesting how they can relate the levels

when we read other literature. I read Officer Buckle and Gloria today for another purpose and the kids were immediately relating when there was Level A, B, and C behavior happening within the book.
