tardiness
By Joan

Clip to ScrapBook
I know it is a lot of time on the teacher's part, but making a quick call to the parent each evening to alert the parent about the tardiness and explain the ramifications of the tardiness (what the student interupted, what the impact was on the other students, etc.). Just do this every evening and after a while if the tardiness is due to the child, the parent may start to get on his/her case and if it is due to the parent, they may start to realize the impact of their own actions and make changes.
Of course, if you have many, many students tardy this would become too time-consuming.
