Hey I am also 31 and I used to be a nurse but am now a teacher. This is my third year teaching special education and I love it so much more than I ever liked nursing. As for the money- yes I took a pay cut but like my mom says you always spend what you make so it doesn't really make much difference in your lifestyle.Do what you want to do and make yourself happy- and like everyone always tells me- you can always go back to nursing if you don't like teaching (although I don't know if I could- I think I forgot everything and would probably kill someone!)
