Read Alouds

I also teach 4th grade and I do my read aloud some time in the afternoon, but it varies depending on our specials. Sometimes I do it right after lunch to calm them down a bit or after their special. I usually don't do it at the very end of the day because my school usually has end of the day announcements and it interupts the flow of the story. Sideways Stories from Wayside School HOLES (I even love this one) Wringer anything by Roald Dahl (I did an author study on him one marking period and we read all his books either aloud or in guided reading or literature circle)
