From a fellow mom to be... By Krissy

I found out I was pregnant in April and wasn't going to say anything to my fourth grade class just yet. Somehow they found out, probably overhead me chatting with a co-worker. Well, as we prepared for making our big Mother's| Day project, I talked to the class about the fact that they could make their project for anyone that they considered to be important in their life... sister, aunt, etc. One of my students raised their hand and said "Hey, we could make one for you cause you are going to be a mom." They waited to see if it was true and I smiled and agreed. They all clapped and were so excited. Now | | I can't wait to see the looks on their faces when I go back this fall. There's no hiding it now. As for working, I am hoping that if I take it easy, I will be able to work up until my due date as well. I agree about having more time after the baby is here. I know two other teachers who worked up to their due dates. One of them up to Friday and she had the baby on Sunday. I wish I could give more advice on how to handle it, but I am wondering myself. Good luck and hopefully we'll both get some good tips.
