Va ideas

Hi Jamie!

I too am running in a million directions... Those ideas were great and we do pretty much the same things. The only thing different is assigning a region to each kid and having a list of facts they need to research
about that area. I will give class time but it will be written at home. But it doesn't have to be written, it could be an artsy kind of project. I plan on incorporating more graphic organizers this year. I've always had the kids take notes in their binders but this year I'm trying to stick to the organizers. Try this site for organizers. I printed out about 30 of them. Sorry, but I
can't find the site but it is the Houghton Mifflin site. What city do you teach in? I am in Suufolk. I have not seen the red packets you were speaking of. We are trying to use the Virginia Experience. Have you seen those? They are wonderful!
I am getting together with my colleagues soon to work on this so when I get some more ideas on geography, I will get back to you.
