Apply elsewhere, fast! By sue d.

I hope you are applying elsewhere. I don't know if you are teaching in a tiny district, rural, alternative, but if it is a regular system...I'd be questioning too why subbing hasn't already gotten me 'in the door.' My advice is to prepare your portfolio, get your references in order, and apply elsewhere before school starts. I have taught in 2 different states and have NEVER heard of subs being called in to write lesson plans, set up the room... in essence, doing full-time tasks. It may hurt to think so, but the principal may not ever have a plan of hiring you. Get out while you can-- don't get taken advantage of.
