If this is the only school district you can apply to then I would give them a little time to get organized before pulling out if it becomes obvious they are not going
1) Set up a meeting with the the AP or even the P and ask them specifically when do they plan to fill the positions and if you are being considered for one of them. 2) If they can't answer the above two questions then say that although you would love to work for them, you need to have a firmer idea of what is being planned. So you will give them no more than 2 weeks (or less if you decide) and this day will be your last day to sub in the position. 3) If they are not planning on hiring you for the position and say so, I wouldn't give them more than the end of the week. You don't owe them anything and to be honest I know I would have difficulty working for any school or organization that would bring me in as a sub to set up a classroom for another teacher and not offer me a position in the end. 3) If there are other districts in your area you can apply to even as a sub, I would be looking into that as well. 4) Make sure that personnel does indeed have your resume and name on the list if this is the only district you can apply to. Good luck, and keep us informed with what is happening.
