I live in Tennessee

I too live in Tennessee and am so frustrated and worried. I finally was hired in a neighboring county and was part of the untenureds that were let go! Today is the first day of school and I'm one of few not hired back! They put a teacher in my room that will retire next year! Perhaps they are trying to get her to retire now? My class wasn't a regular class and very challenging behavior wise! I'm devestated! The newspaper says the board is meeting next week to find a way to get the older teachers that are past retirement to go ahead and retire now! Dare I hope I still have a chance? Classrooms are going to be past state allowed.
