1st grade activities

Lynn your book sounds great. I have been teaching first for 7 years. I always have the students write from the board - My name is______________.
Today is September 5th. Today is my first day of school.They can draw a picture
of how they feel above their writing. I save the writings and have them do the same writing for the last day of school. I also take their picture on the first day of school and attach it to the writings and on the last day of school and attach it to their writings. I give them both writings at the end of the school year to take home. The parents see the progress of the writings and

drawings and how their child has grown in first grade.
I would like to have a copy of your book if you don't mind. It's nice to change activities once in a while.
