Yes I do my centers during reading groups. I have one group on the floor silently reading SSR. One group with me and one group at centers. I choose one person from each group to be the leader(who ever shows me best behavior) this person is in charge of keeping their group on target and quiet. Quietiest group gets a small treat. They know the rules whispering, walking not running, not disturbing anyone. The person in charge is who the other students can go to if they forget something or need help. I usually have only 5 centers for them to choose from when they are done with their seatwork. Hope this helps.
