center ideas
By Shirley

Clip to ScrapBook
I started with spelling, math, and listening centers first. I also have an activity center that students do with either myself or the aide. Is usually something fun like some type of cooking or craft activity.
Spelling centers contain many ways to choose from for practicing spelling words and word play in general. In math there are patterning, number and geometric activities (I change them according to what I want the practice to be with). I also have a lot of self-check cards that are in the math center. These are very manageable and do not take a lot of time for managing them.
