Since it isn't my project, I don't have any forms that the teachers send home, or give to the students to fill out. When we go back in a couple weeks I can try to get them, but I don't have access to them b/c they aren't| mine. I know that at parent night a few weeks after school starts (when parents come for a brief meeting w/the teachers) the teachers explain to parents what they will do with the wax museum. They always do the museum in ealy November, and I know they have the students start in late Sept./early Oct. working on starting the project. Along the way, there are deadlines for outlines, | | rough draft, speech rough draft, etc. and all the paperwork is due one week before the museum starts. The week before the museum all the students practice giving their speeches to the other 4th grade class (to relieve any anxiety). I do know that one of the teachers explains it to her students and tells them that it is like a living museum where the people can tell you about themselves, but you can't ask questions. Each student in the museum has a "button" on them and they remain silent until a visitor pushes the "button" (usually on their hand) and then they start their speech. When they are done, they put their head down and hand out until the next person comes along and then they "come to life." Again, I will try to get the info. from the 4th grade teachers when we go back.
