Recycled items
By Emily

Clip to ScrapBook
You could make new paper using recycled paper (I got the directions from google or somewhere once). The pulp is messy, but the end result is neat. Maybe you could do it outside on the playground (if it's not too cold where you are).

What about setting up recycling containers at the start of the year, and collecting materials to be recycled. Create a graph depicting how many gallons/tubs/trash bags of recycled materials you've collected. Put the graph in the foyer so students can see the progress they've made. Then on Nov. 15th, you can have an assembly and announce how many total gallons/tubs/trash bags the whole school has recycled. Or, you could have a representative from the parks dept. come and talk to the kids about the importance of recycling.
