I teach fourth grade. A day or two before each test we play a Jeopardy game covering the material learned. I give a copy of the Jeopardy questions to each student. We also make vocab. flashcards of all relevant vocab and students can use those to study as well. I base the Jeopardy game on the test. I also give "hints" about any essay questions the children might see on the test. I encourage the kids to write out practice answers to prepare. Some kids still manage to fail even with all this but I'm doing what I can.
