Parents in the classroom
By Kendrie Mayson

Clip to ScrapBook
I have never appreciated the fact that parents enter my classroom before I do. I consider my class my personal space and I feel that it is quite rude to enter uninvited. I would never dream of entering my doctor's or lawyer's office before I was invited to do so. When I was sounding off to my sister(a lawyer) about this problem, she had a different slant on the
situation. She feels that these parents are not being rude--but that they are merely ignorant to the fact that it is not a good idea (time) for them to be there. She feels that if we make them aware (in a nice way) about this that they will be better informed and not as likely to intrude.
