Congratulations on your new job. I taught Resource/Collaboration for 25 years. I really enjoyed it. Probably one of the first things you need to do is get a handle on the students you will be teaching and what subjects/areas
they will be with you. The scheduling is one of the toughest parts. Find out what classrooms they will be in and get the teachers' schedules as soon as possible. If you are doing replacement instruction, you will probably have students with you when their classes are doing the same subjects. If it is "support" instruction you will have to find time to pull them out of the classroom
at alternate times.

Once you get all of that figured out, you will at least have a starting place.
From there, I would try to get in touch with eiter your special ed. director, another resource teacher, or the previous teacher for this class. They should know more about your situation and be able to give you some help.

I don't know if that is what you were looking for, but hope it helps!!
