It depends on your state. We have 140 daily for Language, 70 daily for math and 80 min a week each for Science and Social studies and 40 min for Health. They also get 100 min of PE, 50 min of ART, 50 min of music and 50
min of library skills a week. Throw in 50 min of computer time a week and you are about filled up.

Our daily schedule looks like this:

8:55 Opening (attendance etc.)
9:05 Language (our grade level does our entire language program by ability grouping and that includes reading, writing, spelling, vocab etc)
10:45 back to homeroom
10:50 Specials (art, pe, music or library)
11:45

lunch
12:20 Oral reading
12:30 Math Meeting
1:00 Math
2:00 Science/Health/or Social Studies
2:40 DEAR time (silent reading)
3:00 closing
3:11 Bye Bye!
