AR
By Ida

Clip to ScrapBook
I use the AR program in my classroom. One incentive that I just learned about and will use next year is to have a big clear plastic jar in my room somewhere. When ever a student has taken an AR test and passed it with
100, that student puts a fake 100 dollar bill in the jar.
When the whole class has a total of 100, 100 dollar bills they earn a prize like pizza, cookies, juice boxes, or whatever.
As for managing the computer during AR, I keep a clipboard by the computer where students sign up to take thier test. They will reread their book until it is their turn. Only one AR test at a time.
Meaning you can't sign your name once and take 2 tests in row.

I hope this helps....OOOHHHhh, I heard some teachers do take the AR test as a reading grade sometimes.
