Here are a couple of things I do. Sometimes we gather on the rug and I use the BrainQuest cards as 3 students at a time get ready. Those getting ready are asked to be quiet and they are because they want to hear the question being asked. At times they are in their seats and it is quiet time. They can read or draw (they have to use materials from their desk because no one can get up)while 3 at a time get ready. Hope these help.
