Cooperative learning, whole language, and tracking that I mentioned HAS been researched. That has nothing to do with the comes around, goes around! This has been going on for centuries with strategies, methods, etc.promoted| by different philosophers. Still, it is adapted for a while, then other things and new approaches are used. Classroom Action Research cannot be conducted in a laboratory-it is done by the teacher in the classroom. Since it can't be controlled, teachers have to collect data from classroom tests, standardized tests, classroom observation, classroom comparison, etc. depending on the | |
teacher's focus. We never stop learning, we can always improve, so I do observe a lot, talk to other teachers about their method, compare etc. I may not report my "research", but that has nothing to do with it. I DO classroom action research for my benefit and that IS research.
