research
By Emmy

Clip to ScrapBook
Cooperative learning, whole language, and tracking that I mentioned HAS been researched. That has nothing to do with the comes around, goes around! This has been going on for centuries with strategies, methods, etc.promoted
by different philosophers. Still, it is adapted for a while, then other things and new approaches are used.

Classroom Action Research cannot be conducted in a laboratory-it is done by the teacher in the classroom. Since it can't be controlled, teachers have to collect data from classroom tests, standardized tests, classroom observation, classroom comparison, etc. depending on the

teacher's focus. We never stop learning, we can always improve, so I do observe a lot, talk to other teachers about their method, compare etc. I may not report my "research", but that has nothing to do with it. I DO classroom action research for my benefit and that IS research.
