How soon we forget

Less than a year ago we faced terror on Sept. 11, our school got together as a unit to say the pledge. It was one of the proudest moments I had as a teacher. It brought a tear to my eye. Why are we fighting over this trivial| issue now. There is not one single definition of God. My God certainly is different from your God even athiest believe in something, they believe in themselves and doesn't that say something for the human spirit. There is not one definition of God and never has anyone been forced to believe in One God in this country. This is so sad and at a time we need people to stand up for | |
our country. Freedom is something that can never be taken for granted. If children are not taught to respect the freedom they have who is going to continue to fight for freedom??? That flag is a symbol of our nation, the freedom it stands for, the people who have fought for those freedoms, and God is what ever you want him to be.
