safari themes
By Tawnya

Clip to ScrapBook
Here some ideas I'm using for my safari theme this year. I decorated my hall bulletin board with die cut toucans with each child's name and wrote the heading "We're WILD about Second Grade." I added a large palm tree around
my board making the leaves 3-D by using straightened wire hangers under the paper leaves. I found wild animal paper plates at Wal-Mart and place them on the trunk of the tree. On my door, I placed a large toucan with the caption "No Squawkin' Around...Caw-w-m On In." In my reading corner I used the heading "Read a book and let your imagination run WILD." I also incorporated my theme
into my helper chart. I made another large palm tree and wrote class jobs down the trunk. I laminated die cut monkeys and will write students names for each job with a dry erase marker as they are selected. Hope these ideas help. Good luck!!!
