Okay, so here's the latest one. Last night I didn't sleep very well and had one school related nightmare. It was the first day of school. Instead of being regular third grade size my kids were the size of high schoolers.| For some reason I just got them in the room and let them sit around and chit chat for a long time and it was really noisy. Then, the PA system comes on and I can't hear what the principal is saying. It suddenly dawns on me that I haven't taught the kids the thumbs up for attention and quiet. I try but it doesn't work. I can't get their attention to teach the attention signal!! It is | |
about 30 minutes into the day and I have already lost the class and they are going on like I'm not even there. Then, in walks the principal and the three "facilitators (sp?) that we get this year because we just became Title 1.They are looking at me like "What in the world is going on?" I just look at them and smile! Holy Moly!! I WILL teach the attention signal first thing this year for sure!LOL
