You are right!!

You are definitely right there. The problem for most districts is funding (if they are paid). The mentor-mentee relationship can sometimes make or break a first year teacher's experience. In an effort to keep as many effective teachers in the field as possible it would be nice to see districts make mentoring more of a priority.
Iwill say this----at least you have a program!
