I have been teaching kindergarten for five years now and I have found that holding a parent orientation works the best to let the parents know about the curriculum, classroom rules, my concepts on reading, math, science and social studies. Just be straight forward with your parents and let the know that your maine goal is to help their child adjust to kindergarten with a warm loving environment that their children will succeed.
