Wow! What a discussion. Just wanted to put my two cents in. The first group of students I had are probably finishing up college now. I have tracked many of them through high school, seeing them in newspaper articles for honor student/ clubs, good citizenship awards, etc. and they ALL got a piece of candy, pat on the back, stickers, etc. for good behavior, hard work, etc. The majority of them have gone on to be successful in school, college, and their community. Case Closed!
