sub

Clip to ScrapBook
I would not take the job as an aide. You have worked for years to get certified. I cry when I have to take a job for $7 (our aides make $7 and hour) or $8. now because I could have done that without 5 years of college and
I won't even mention how many student loans. I will have to do that until school starts but subs here get paid $90. a day, it would be foolish to work for half that. If being an aide can get you in the door, so can subbing. I have heard Tricia's horror story and I know that happens here as well, once they get you on that sub list, I have heard you never get off.
I was hesitant
to move because I share custody with my ex and that doesn't work well when the parents are 5 hours, rather than 5 miles from each other but I am not hanging around forever either. If I have to move to be working in the fall of 2003, then off we go. I can't pay back student loans on an aides salary or a subs unless I am working everyday.
