Clip to ScrapBook
I know you are soooo excited to start teaching. I was scared to death when all those kids started coming in that first day. After a few minutes, my nerves calmed down and I became a teacher. But to this day, I still get butterflies
that first day.

teachingranny covered it all! I was going to mention deodorant, but she got that one too. There's nothing like getting to school and realizing that you forgot it! I keep hairspray and my favorite hand lotion also. Be sure to keep some kind of snacks in the room for you. I'm not much of a snacker but there have been days that I just had to have something to eat

by 9:00 or just fall out! I keep a supply of quarters for the drink machine. I keep a few cleaning supplies along with rubber gloves.I get the kind doctors use, not the dishwashing kind. Never know when you will be dealing with a sick or injured child. Keep band-aids in your desk for you or the kids. I also have a thermometer in my first aid kit with the plastic covers. This prevents kids from faking sick to go to the nurse. They know I check first. As far as on the walls... can't help you with 6th grade stuff. I'm first grade. I hope you have a great year. Good luck.
