Clip to ScrapBook
Sometimes the reasoning for policies like this doesn't make much sense to us, but that is because we are not thinking like the "bad guys". It is important to know that these policies are in place to protect the children, not to interfere with your freedom to publicize your classroom. I am involved with both my school website and my own personal classroom website, so I am familiar with the frustration of trying to let people know about the good things that are going on at school without naming names. We are allowed to put group or distant photos. We are also allowed to put first names. I usually get parent permission anyway. It's better to be safe than sorry.
