workshops
By Carolyn

Clip to ScrapBook
I am sure your district must have a coordinator of such things. In our district, you have to keep your eyes and ears open to be aware of what workshops are being presented. If there is something that could be of benefit
to you, you can sign up for it. I know that in our district, we regularly receive e-mails about conferences and workshops. They really push workshops and out-of-town conferences. I actually attended several REQUIRED workshops in my district for math and science instruction. I also attended two out-of-town workshops on math instruction. We have a coordinator whom we can call if we are
interested in non-required workshops and conferences. Your district can also tell you which ones you probably should attend as a new teacher--the ones you can benefit the most from.
