Special Person
By Jo

Clip to ScrapBook
We do a 'Special Person' every week. At the start of the school year the children all design and make a special person badge. Every week a name is pulled out of a special box (make sure there are enough weeks for each student
to have a turn) and it becomes that child's special week. Every day the child can wear any badge they choose.

One day the special person waits outside the classroom and everyone discusses and then writes down something positive about the child (why they are special, why they like them, qualities they have etc)...the comments are compiled and presented in a little book (illustrated

by the class)to the child at the end of the week. You can add a range of special things to make the child's week fun. This is a real self-esteem builder and the children LOVE it.
