WOW, that is a great site, they have lots of input. You could be reading for days!

Don't feel like you have to have it all in stone by Sept 1. This year will be my fourth year and I am just now feeling like I am getting my ideas in order.

On discipline/behavior management. Each group will be different, and even change during the year. What works one week may not the next, be flexible have something else in your 'pocket' to try.

Some of the themes I use, in order are: (with letters and numbers going all the time)

colors
Health and safety (when the big kids do Red Ribbon 'just say no' week)
Shapes
Helping/sharing
growing up (in the spring)
