I'm in Mississippi and attended a teacher recruitment day at my university in April. There were almost as many districts represented from Texas as there were from Mississippi. The pay in Texas is sooo much better than what Mississippi pays its teachers. The Texas districts I spoke with were Duncanville Independent School District, Dallas Independent School District, Bryan Independent School District, and Garland Independent School District. Those districts were all actively seeking prospective teaching staff. Hope this helps. Best of luck, Debbie
