This is my second year in a portable. Don't let the mess get to you. I have had a great time decorating my portable. This year my theme is "Aiming for the Stars." If your room has the suspended ceiling tiles, you can easily hang decorations using a staple gun. I like to crisscross material over my reading section. My walls all have wood paneling, so I can make unlimited bulletin boards. I like to use material for this also. Focus on your front board and overhead screen and place students'desks in easy viewing of these areas. Computer, Reading, and other areas can be worked in. I also like to section off my reading area with low bookcases. Keep in mind, that if an area is sectioned off, the teacher should still have an open view of the students.
