If a child never gets to stay on the same color until the end of the day perhaps make a contract with that child. For example, that child gets the reward if they make it until lunch or what ever time span works best for that child to feel some success. If it starts to work, then after a few weeks, lengthen the span of time. Go from small to big. I had one child that earned a smile on a chart for ever 15 min that he was not off task or hurting someone. It was a rough year that year. Eventually he worked himself up to half days. He could never make it a full day but hey, you take what you can get. It was a stride for him! Good luck!
