Homework

My school district requires homework Mon.-Thurs.I send home a weekly packet on Mondays and must be returned by Fri. Parents initial on homework form that work has been completed and checked.We read each night for twenty minutes.Also we do 2 mini book reports which are due in on Fri., also. The parents love this arrangement. We have theme projects once a month related to reading, social studiies or science. This gets the family involved.This truly gives the students plenty of practice time and all activities are challenging because the children attach writing to most activities.Reading and writing are our emphasis.The children love it because it develops discipline and responsibility.Slower students get an adjusted form of homework.
