endlessly grading papers
By Jayne Nelson

Clip to ScrapBook
Last year for the first time I had the kids correct their own math papers. In order to avoid changed answers I offered the kids a canister of really cool jel pens to correct with. They loved these and anyone with regular pencils was highly suspect. This did not solve the problem completely because absences kept me busy. This year I am keeping those absent in during recess to correct their papers. Maybe there will be fewer absences.
